A game between two very evenly-matched teams.
Spartak almost took the lead in the first couple of minutes with a good shot drawing an excellent save from Ethan to concede a corner. At the other end, Pumas had the chance to take the lead when Callum, from a wide angle to the right of goal, managed a shot that the Spartak keeper pushed onto the post. The remainder of the first half was close with chances for both sides and it ended 0-0.
In the second half, with the wind behind them, Pumas played well with some nice efforts down the wings but they continued to meet stout defending from Spartak. The deadlock was broken three minutes from time by a cracking goal from Sam; picking up a ball cleared by the Spartak defence somewhere between the half way line and the penalty area, Sam struck a rasping shot into the roof of the net, with the Spartak keeper rooted to the line.
Spartak responded well to the goal. A minute later, Pumas failed to clear their penalty area from a free kick and the ball was slotted in from close range, 1-1.
A fair result given the evenness of the two teams
