Once again a very unfortunate result in conditions more suited to flying kites than playing football. We needed to score in the first half with the wind at our backs and we did but right on the strike of half time Doddington equalised.
The second half was always going to be tough but we didn't buckle as we have in previous games. We created some chances and had a shot rebound of the bar but with only 5 minutes left we failed to clear our lines and Doddington scored. Two more silly goals were let in in the dying minutes and the final score flattered the opposition. Their manager even said we deserved a draw.
With two games left I can only hope we put in the same kind of effort. Our game against Higham will be a tough one as they are probably the best side in our 'league' but here's hoping we can give them a run for their money.
