Who needs Ant n Dec, when you got Moon n Dec.

Volta finished the season how they started it with an epic win, to secure the Runners up spot .

It took just 60 seconds to open up Whitworths today from a floated free kick in for Ben Roche to rise above all to nod down far post only for the keeper to push onto Declan O C’allaghan to get the final touch 1-0 . Seconds later Josef Farrow threaded Declan in who struck a crisp shot only for the keeper to pull out a brilliant stop,.

Volta dominated possession throughout the first half but could not hit the target , and this is how it stayed .

HT 1-0

Volta knew they had to up their game  in the second period as the score line was too close for comfort, and within moments Oliver Webb sent in a peach of a pass for Zak Moon to head into the gapping net. 2-0.

Confidence was beaming in the team now as players were playing with ease and pulling Whitworths apart with foot to foot passing.. Saving the best till last , and what a way to end his prolific goal scoring season ,  Zak Moon hit a perfect 30 yard shot,  Top right corner, giving the keeper NO CHANCE.

With players now playing in unfamiliar positions,  Volta still put immense pressure  Whitworths back four.

With the final whistle looming Volta knew they had done more than enough to earn themselves the Runners- up spot they thoroughly deserve..
MOM goes to Zak Moon , for 2 brilliant finishes , the first not bad,.... but the second , WOW...........
